About Our Owner & Remote Pilot-In-Command
Our founder, owner and Remote Pilot-In-Command is Dan Lunzer. Here is what Dan has to say:
My name is Dan Lunzer. I am the founder, owner and remote Pilot-In-Command (PIC) for Great North Drones. My home base for GND is in St. Paul, Minnesota, and I frequently provide drone services for clients throughout the Twin Cities of St. Paul-Minneapolis, in Western Wisconsin, throughout the nation and even internationally. I have been FAA Part 107 certified since 2018 and am fully licensed and insured. With more than 800 hours of flight time in the log books, I am able to take on any project you might have.
I am proud of the way I run GND – with precision, excellent communication and timeliness. Above all else, I focus on client satisfaction. This level of service comes after 20+ years in the commercial construction industry. I possess in-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of construction projects and bring this technical acumen when flying projects of all sizes. As a remote PIC, I am highly attentive to detail, follow all FAA safety protocols, maintain friendly and personalized client relationships and produce exquisite final products.
In my spare time, I enjoy (in no particular order) playing golf, spending time with my two English Bulldogs, hanging out with my lovely wife, acoustic guitar (singing and song writing) and enjoying life. I am a kidney transplant recipient and am forever grateful to my living donor for saving my life in 2016.
Being a drone pilot is one of the most amazing jobs I have ever had. It allows me to travel and see more of Minnesota and the nation than I ever could have sitting behind a desk for the past 20+ years. Seeing and meeting new people is a highlight of my day.
It’s a great day at Great North Drones, and I’d love to share it with you. Let’s talk about your next project – give me a call at 651-431-1273 or email me.
